Position: Articling Student
We are in the process of interviewing 2nd year Law Students to work from our Northern office in Fort St. John: this position runs from May 1st, 2009 to September 1, 2009. We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented candidates!
Location: Fort St. John, British Columbia
Area of Law: Family Law
Position Type: Full Time : 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with weekend work expected on an irregular basis.
About the Position:
a) Your duties will include the following: handling some of your own Provincial Court files, drafting of pleadings, memos, agreements and briefs, attending settlement conferences in Provincial Court, uncontested matters in Supreme Court, as well as drafting reporting letters.
b) You will be expected to write articles for our website and blog on a bi-weekly basis.
c) You will need to sign and adhere to our strict confidentiality agreement.
