Surrey Law Office Punjabi and Hindi speaking lawyer, Sumit Ahuja brings fluency in Punjabi and Hindi to assist us in better serving our Surrey Family law and Surrey BC divorce clients as well as ICBC and personal injury claim clients in Surrey BC, Surrey criminal law clients and finally to assist Fraser Langley, Delta and White Rock law clients with immigration law related issues.
Sumit Ahuja joined MacLean Family Law Group in April 2011 and is a rising star. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He thereafter attended Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia, where he completed his post graduate Juris Doctor Law degree. Upon returning to British Columbia, he fulfilled his National Committee on Accreditation requirements resulting in his legal credentials being transferred to Canada. During his Articles, he has primarily worked with Family, Criminal and Civil Litigation law. He is scheduled to complete his Articles on April 15, 2011, when he will become a practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia. He is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi and is able to converse and assist clients with divorce, family law claims and other family law issues.
Sumit will post translated summaries of recent BC family law and divorce decisions of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia in Punjabi to assist Punjabi and Hindi speaking/reading clients to understand recent decisions of British Columbia Courts.
Outside of the law firm, Sumit enjoys playing sports, reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
