
Born and raised in Vancouver, Matt obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in German from the University of British Columbia in 2005 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2010. During his final year in Edmonton, he worked at the province’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs, dealing with an array of issues, ranging from land subdivision applications to property assessment appeals at the Municipal Government Board. Upon completing law school, he articled at a full service law firm in Kelowna, BC, where he gained considerable experience in personal injury matters. He joined MacLean Family Law Group as an associate in February 2012 and looks forward to building a vibrant family and personal injury practice. Matt is excited to provide quality and cost-effective legal representation for his clients. He is fluent in French and conversational in German. He is also passionate about providing services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community in Metro Vancouver and elsewhere in the province, which is a growing area in family law, given recent changes in Canadian law.
